Olmito to host event for pets

STAFF REPORT

Brownsville Herald

For those who have ever wanted to enter a pet in a Halloween costume contest, now is the chance.

The 4th annual Howl-O-Ween Extravaganza will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Stillman Dog Park in Olmito.

There will be face painting, presentations, bouncers, vendors and food trucks. The extravaganza will culminate with a pet costume contest.

“It’s all about the dogs, and we want to celebrate that event,” said Abby Esparza, a volunteer with Brownsville Animal Defense, in a press release. “We encourage animal lovers to bring their pets and families, and to enjoy what we have planned. This event continues to grow each year, and we’re proud to bring in more attractions, food trucks and vendors for the public to enjoy this year.”
