Talking about the economic opportunities in the province, Muhammad Zubair invited British investors to take benefit of these opportunities and investment friendly policies in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, the British Deputy High Commissioner said Pakistanis in Britain are playing an important role in development of the country.

She said British investors are reviewing investment opportunities available in various sectors to take further steps in this regard.


Director General Rangers Sindh Major General Mohammad Saeed called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on Friday.

During the meeting, ongoing targeted operation in Karachi, security for the matches of Pakistan Super League to be held in Karachi in February next year were discussed.

Syed Murad Ali Shah lauded the role of law enforcement agencies in maintaining law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram.


Vice Chancellor Bacha Khan University Prof. Dr Saqlain Naqwi called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra in Peshawar on Friday.

He gave the governor a detailed briefing about the university’s achievements.

The Governor lauded role of the university in research area.


In FATA, the World Food Programme is implementing a programme of providing cash assistance to girl students to improve their attendance in schools.

According to WFP, fifteen thousand female students are benefiting from this programme.

Each student is given one thousand rupees per month provided her attendance is at least eighty per cent.

Biometric system has been installed in all the concerned schools to ensure attendance of the students.


The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to provide free WIFI facility to educational institutions of the province under its “Open WI-FI Project”.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and Pakistan Tele-Communication Limited in Peshawar on Friday.


Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that a peaceful Balochistan is a guarantee of stable Pakistan.

This he said while talking to Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa who called on him in Quetta on Friday.

He vowed to restore peace in the province at all costs and give masses of the province a literate and civilized Balochistan.

During the meeting they discussed a verity of issues including the overall security situation in the province.

Nawab Zehri expressed satisfaction on joint cooperation of Civil and Military law enforcement agencies for the sake of elimination of terrorism and restoration of peace in the province.

On this occasion, both the Chief Minister and Commander Southern Command expressed firm determination to uproot the menace of terrorism from the province.
